The offense lost that game for us. We needed to load up to stop the run and score. Let me know about the Newport show. I'll be there for sure and gladly buy your tickets

You're on! I've got $100 on the moneyline paying $410. Coincidentally my championship game ticket will cost me $439 if we make it. A Bearcats win could mean a few nice tickets for me.

That game was entertaining but that was some bad football
  4. Does a Port O Let qualify as an outhouse? If so, i got 14. There needs to be a Midwest version with questions like: Have you played hide and seek in a corn field? Have you ever "tipped" a cow? Have you ever ripped your jeans on a barbed wire fence? Etc.

Not a very good start to bowl season for the SEC, hopefully that continues Friday

    RIP John Madden

It could be argued that he did more to increase the popularity of the NFL than anyone. Madden on a Thanksgiving day broadcast was must see TV. RIP coach Madden
  7. Mike, this is the problem. If people like you don't feel safe when they are vaccinated and boosted, there can be no shows ever again. Covid is endemic and will always be with us, we need to learn how to live with it. The evidence shows that you are at minimal risk if vaccinated, i am and feel safe. Who are we protecting by shutting things down?
  8. Mike, if you aren't vaccinated and don't feel comfortable please don't go.

Things are getting crazy in the NFL with guys out for Covid. Could be the team that stays Covid free wins. They need to stop making vaccinated asymptomatic players sit, crazy.

I agree. With a new freshman starting qb and revamped defense, not a good year to start with a conference game on the road followed by a home game against a to 10 team. Tough start for Freeman next year playing a more veteran Ohio state at the start of the year. My Bearcats will be reloading after this year and starting at Arkansas, that should be a test.

I actually think the Bearcats match up better with Alabama than Georgia or Michigan

Hell yes! It's party time in Cincy!
  17. I'll never forget that night. I was too young to go at the time but it certainly scared my folks enough that I was banned from going to shows. My friends and I had to sneak around to go to shows. It was a terrible tragedy and he definitely should have been held accountable.

I really hope that Georgia beats Alabama but I'm nervous. When I've watched Alabama they haven't looked very good like a typical Alabama team. Georgia has looked great, especially on defense, but I'm not so sure about the offenses they have gone up against. We'll see. I just hope that my Bearcats win and get in. Very happy for Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame and that Fickel will be staying at Cincy at least until the Ohio State job opens up. Interested in your take on the Notre Dame coaching situation Desert Dad?

I'd say with a Georgia win you would have: 1. Georgia 2. Michigan (assuming they win) 3. Cincinnati (assuming they win) 4. OK. St. (assuming they win) A loss by any of 2-4 opens the door for Notre Dame. I wonder if they would put Notre Dame in ahead of Cincy if Cincy lost close?

Crazy to think but it looks likely that we will have a playoff without Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma and Alabama

Don't Georgia and Florida play this week, not Tennessee and Florida? I think 12 teams is too many for a playoff. They will need to get rid of conference championship games if you have 12 and teams will rest players late in the year when they know they are in. I think 6 or 8 would be much better to keep the excitement of the regular season. I love college football because the regular season games are so good. There are a lot of blowouts but in any window there are a couple tight games to follow and so many games can affect your teams chances to make the playoffs. This weekends slate looks great.
  23. IMHO the Dew is what makes Cornell 77 a great show. I also agree that the earlier speedy versions don't work nearly as well, the song needed to evolve over time. Stella seemed to be there right from the beginning. I have a soft spot for Comes a time since I caught a very good one in my first show even though I didn't know what the hell I was witnessing at the time.
