  1. Maybe I’ll try nugs again…. For the weekend. They are so patchy with their video. And hard to get in. Tried Billy Strings Asheville last and it was an ongoing hassle the whole night. The last thing i want is the stress of dealing with poor steaming I paid for. i know itll be a 🔥FANTASTIC 💃🏻🕺🏻weekend and hate to miss all the lovely💗 people gathering. Ive got my kids home together a short stint before son returns to Colorado and spending today and tomorrow with them. And frankly, I’m still stinging from getting pulled in the van on the way home last year. It was clear and very little traffic ( 2 cars oncoming) on a straight away downhill. With a 95 hp engine running atleast 5,000lbs, it’s fun to drive mostly but can be a bear making those hills along the Ohio valleys. Only a 12 hour drive…😅. The trooper said i sped up when he pulled out behind me and he clocked it going 67. Well, thats at least a record i could post on social media because i might top at 65 on a 7% grade. Ha! I didn't see him until he was on my tail 🐊and there was no video footage until he was right up on me. Suspicious mf’’er. I really can see about 50-75 feet out the back window. I slowed down from 63 to 57 but not fast enough for him…. I cant brake on a dime. Such a rouse. He was even suspicious of the fan running once i cut the engine. Didnt know his ass from a hole in the ground at maybe 28. I think the van is older than he is. No clue about running a 4 speed in that kind of situation. I got it reduced to improper tailpipe or something like that but it was a bleed. Where is the calm and sense in the world? Be careful. I cant wait for this backlash of a need to control everyone postcovid to subside. It is absolutely insane out there. Is this a free country that doesnt impose on your well-being happiness and freedom? Hell no. but in Legend Valley, freedom can play and hearts be filled with goodness and kindness and be the utopia we seek. Reach down for that gold ring inside and dance in the Garden of Eden. ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Wonderful time with friends again at a DSO show and staying on the mountain top at C&K’s home. Two good friends from Georgia and East London came along with me , both rookies for DSO. We ran into a hail storm on the way to the show. Before the music my nephew, Willy, and his wife, Mary Helen, were talking to me but after a few minutes I had to say, “I’m sorry but I don’t know who you are”…shows you how smoky my head was at the time. First set was strong dancing right on the rail next to Melie. When Jen came down to dance I realized I was between the two most beautiful ladies at the show. At set break we realized that I had not eaten anything all day so Donna took my hand and led me to some good food. We took shelter and ate while the thunderstorm passed by. Latter my good friend, The Englishman Derek, was craving a candy bar but could not find one anywhere. I went on a quest and came back with a bowl of big peanut M&Ms which a vendor gave me from his personal stash. It’s these little fun things that add to the music and dancing that make DSO shows so magical. Peace and Love, Doc

  3. This was an awesome show... excellent re-creation of the Tampa 4/6/78 concert and DSO was on-point, as always. The Nashville crowd was lively, super friendly and as expected (when Deadheads are the audience), well behaved.

  6. My buddy in Nashville was disappointed by the sound system compared to what he said he experienced at his first JITS in January. The clip he sent me of Bertha did sound a bit thin, but with that setlist you all got a great show! Apparently one of his friends who saw one of the Carolina shows spoke of a similar disappointment. I can't say I've come away from a DSO show disappointed with the sound. Especially my last show in Chicago! One of the incentives that got me to Jubilee last year was the attraction of the unique sound system used for the festival. I wasn't disappointed with the sound and got enlisted back to this celebration since it left the ledges. Nashville crowds know how to do shows ~ it's music city!
