Because they make you feel normal height. For similar reasons, I like hanging around really fat people.7 points

The dancing on Sunday night was, by far, the best I have experienced and the best I have ever been able to move. Really, absolutely perfect, and the benchmark I'll measure everything against. The energy in the dance area was palpable and infectious and my deepest thanks go out to all who shared in it.5 points

Why I left after Saturday night show I’ll never know. maybe my dancing was holding everyone back. I love hearing you’re raising the group dance bar. I left early my first and last JRAD show cause there was no group DSO energy to be found. Praise DSO3 points

The dance weave we had going on during Sunday's show was world class level. I was dancing with 15 people at once! Praise DSO.2 points

😂😂 It’s mostly I aspire to better myself after hanging with so many amazing people. I also see my flaws through others’ behavior and things become clear to me and it makes me want to change. Everyone aspires in their minds to be healthier, exercise more, live better, but making that leap seems to be easier right after tour at least for me. Maybe when you are on cloud 9 it’s easier to make hard changes. If someone’s wanting to stop drinking or smoking or whatever, it’s hard when you are in a dark place but much easier when everything has a glow to it. Love u peeps!!!2 points

Hope you’re serious, RD. And the reason that you make many life-changing decisions on or right after tour is because you are always either on or right after tour. 😁2 points

Im stopping smoking cigs and getting a vape in the morning just to spite you. Plus the gf has made me go outside to smoke the last 3 years and that sucks. Plus I need to up my dance game. Getting harder to keep those super fast dance paces for extended periods. MAMU>big rivers are killing me. Next time you see me I’ll have digital nicotine. Bye bye analog nicotine delivery systems(note I may have a smoke sometimes post show but I’m done buying them).1 point

Here's what i sent to Tim Walther. I ask that others who feel similarly do the same. Info@allgoodpresents.com This email is intended for Tim Walther. Hello. My name is Aaron Stein. I am a long time fan of DSO, having attended nearly 400 shows since 2002. I am a friend of the band and well known by many as a deadicated dancer and musician. I attended "Gratefulfest" at Nelson Ledges from 2004-2011 and DSO jubilee from 2012-14, 16-17, and just this past weekend. I'm including all of this Not to brag but to give you a sense of my involvement in the DSO family. First of all, i appreciate what you do. So thank you. Many of us were very upset this past weekend by the choice to fence off a large area stage right for "performers". I didn't attend last year but I'm told the area was more off to the side. As I'm sure you are aware, and as Jerry has been explicitly quoted, this music is dance music. This Music is not about performers and spectators being separate- we are all the show. This Music was born of the Acid Tests, in which everyone was the centerpiece of the show. If dancing wasn't a part of it, i wouldn't be part of it. Legend Valley is terrible for dancing. Uneven ground and rocks everywhere make it not only difficult to move gracefully but frankly are dangerous. Now the best area for dancing is stage right (crowd left) up front. The first night it wad wide open (as well as every other year I've attended). The third night started open and they had the audacity to move us DURING THE LAST SONG OF THE FIRST SET. they didn't even begin their stuff until set two so they easily could have waited until set break. The dancing occurring Sunday night was some of the best, most communal, blissed out that I've ever experienced (need I cite my credentials again??). On night two there was a lady on a pogo stick like thing, bouncing around. This was unsafe. My friend, who was outside the fenced in area, got hit in the head by her hula hoop. It left a bump, but more importantly it was a shock that took him out of the moment and ruined his show. Frankly, you are lucky that he doesn't want to press charges. Another friend got whipped by her as well. Need i say anything about the inherent danger of fire spinning? It smells horrible and is certainly not healthy. The whole thing is really quite distracting from the show- the show that we are a part of and in which we are performers. Am i saying to not include it? Well, i don't care for it but i imagine some people like it. Please move it somewhere else next year- not right next to the stage, not in the only viable dance area. Please consider what i have said here. I want to continue to support your productions but if this isn't changed there will be many upset fans- deadicated fans who travel far for these shows (as far as Washington state). Maybe back by the soundboard is an appropriate place. And maybe don't include the fire spinning at all. Another consideration might be having a designated dancing section. Once again, this is dance music. Thank you for listening. I will be sharing this email on the DSO forums and you can expect to receive more emails of this nature. Aaron Stein1 point

That was our second thought - that show was indeed super amazingly special!! Fire spinning was obtrusive for its disruption, the fumes and taking over our dance space! Scattered like lost words....:-(( and the cigarettes- I went out and danced super hard and came back in to a wall of smoke that literally stole my breath. The VIP tent needs to be moved back about at least 10 yards. The shower situation sucked so bad we are buying a rooftop shower and going to GA in two years. I will miss the lighted bathroom though.... I waited patiently and had a lovely time chatting. The guy cleaned one shower building and finally after 45-1hour was sitting talking to Captain. I walked over after being Told that the showers would be ready soon many times that it would be 10 more minutes. I just told them to fuck that I wasn’t waiting anymore and ended up using the spray hose in GA to rinse off after Dino and Progfusionals.1 point

Agreement with Mango...despite following bitches this is an incredibly fantastic event. Kudos to all that make it happen and DSO x 20...a popular number for years playin in or following this band. Agreement with Mason...first time I experienced some fraying around the edges that previously were non existent. Apparently the Lost Lands festival last year at this Legend Valley venue (look it up) attracted 40,000 and have caused some not so fun growing pains which have spilt over. Examples.... VIP camping area, smaller with less shade and more rocks to walk through to and from stage. Showers a disaster...many problems with pressure and draining. If you are going to delay coffee in morning cause of lightning, then you cannot let people use the metal shitters right next door or you lose credibility...which happened. Growing pains perhaps to support the larger festival scene...but please please please continue to limit tickets to the Jubilee keeping it intimate and incredible mix of fun peeps and great music. Should be given some attention... I think we know what we talk about...smart enough to follow this band for so long. After meeting Mr. and Misses Mason child...ridiculously beautiful, I will answer his call for support because...he earns it. Has she experienced dancing on your belly at a show yet?1 point

How about the port-a john servicing right before DSO set Sat night? Having just read about the issues in Paris around early 1800s that inspired the catacombs, I couldn’t but think of the bacteria from decomposing bodies on the air preventing people in the surrounding areas from keeping bread from going bad. I turned the other way but wished I had had a bullhorn to tell those people stage front to leave too and get out of the aerosol of human excrement.0 points
