  2. I played Low Spark with Phil and Warren as early as 99. I sang it with Phil and Friends in spring 2000. It became a staple of the Q in fall of 2000 with Warren singing. It was also a staple of The Zen Tricksters when I was a member as early as 89 with Mattson singing

  4. Haha, it was great swapping tales with you. Just passed by BillK's old street of residence on my delivery route, as I do almost every day, small world.

  7. Yea, I kept telling myself, shut up, Greg. You talk too much, but to no avail. A great time was had by all.

  8. Thanks for the recording. Can't wait to listen. I was there at RFK in '73, along with just about everyone I knew back then. Yes, it was unbelievably hot and humid. Just the start of a sizzling hot summer that continued with Watkins Glen (with Allmans and The Band) and 2 nights at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City (with The Band.) DSO keeps it all alive -- so grateful for them.

  12. I use a comfy insert and running shoes and realize I need to upgrade again. I may get some usain bolt track shoes that weigh 4 grams but think those only last 400 meters. Iā€™d have to carry 4-5 pairs to survive a show. We were talkinj after the show about how did the fans survive allman brothers then a 4.5 hour dead show in the heat. We know the answer really. There werenā€™t 45-65yr olds at the show and in 73 they probably walked 4 miles to RFK and didnā€™t think twice about it. They just took off their shirts and got a great sunburn and got to experience one of the great pleasures of life. Itā€™s best not to think too long about those kinds of things though even though I lived vicariously through probably a 15yr old rob barraco who said he lied to his parents to go to that rfk show. I wonder if he ever imagined when he was at that show if he would have played with the allman brothers 40 years later at their farewell shows. Thatā€™s sort of crazy to think about. Iā€™m guessing if you said that to him at rfk ā€œyou are going to play keyboards with the allmans somedayā€ heā€™d have laughed his ass off and asked how much acid you had eaten lol.
