  2. We saw them the at the end of January. They were great. When we heard they were coming, around Nov/early Dec, we bought tix and I bought the shirt. Got shit from a friend for buying the shirt prior to seeing them. Didn't quite understand that, as I've been waiting for them to come around, and listened to shows on Archive. Steely Dan is a big part of the history between my wife and I, besides of course GD! They are right there with GD as two of my (our?) favorite bands. Hope to see them again soon!!
  3. A 17-year-old boy walks into a drugstore and says, "I've been invited to dinner at my new girlfriend's house. Afterward, I'm hoping to get lucky if you know what I mean." "Clerk: 'How about condoms then? They could come in handy. Here's a pack.' The young man smiles and says, 'You know what? The mom is also smoking hot. I think I'll take another pack in case I get extra lucky.' The night of the dinner, the boy sits at the table and doesn't say a word. After a while, his girlfriend says, 'If I'd known you'd be so quiet, I wouldn't have invited you.' The young man replies, 'And if I'd known your dad worked at a drug store, I wouldn't have come.'

  5. Spring tour 89 was my first time doing shows and not getting in also. Didn't get in to the first night Atlanta, neither Greensboros and only one Pittsburgh so I know what it was like to only be in the parking lots. You're right tho about 4/8/89 with GDP sending me front row center for my home town show and running two D5's from the 20th row. You're also correct about spring tour 85 Philly shows. (wrote this thinking you had missed Cincinnati 85~ then saw 1989). It was great to meet you and that you got to experience 6/24/85 when Dark Star recreated that show in November of 2021. I had a bummer during that spring 85 tour. By driving all the way to Philly with a friend for the 4/6/85, Saturday show, leaving right after to drive back home, sleeping in the grass on the side of the highway waking up when a spider bit my lip only to hear about the Sunday Morning Dew and all the goodies of this Monday 4/8/85. A big lesson learned, except not well enough because by not going to Saratoga missed the High Time. Well rewarded at Hershey though with my first Dew and that first set trifecta. Thanks for the post Bill♥️ Everyone got treated righteously to 4/8/89 to start off Jubilee last year. I knew it was either Cincy 89 or Frost 89 with the starting LTGTR, wang dang clinched it tho and we were off ⚡🎶🔥🇱🇷

    Kill Tony?

Highly suggest the newest Netflix appearance from Kill Tony!
  7. 85/04/08 The Spectrum Philadelphia, PA Midnight Hour>Walkin' the Dog>Big Boss Man, Me and My Uncle>Cumberland Blues, Down in the Bottom>Ain't Superstitious, Althea, Tons of Steel, Supplication Jam>Might As Well. Revolution, Hell In A Bucket, Touch of Grey, Estimated Prophet>Eyes of the World>Drums> Goin' Down the Road>Stella Blue>Round and Round>Lovelight. E: Brokedown Palace. The opening triad gets me everytime. Prime example of silly good lists of 85. Sure AC will mention the Riverfront show from 1989, he had a fabulous show, while I was outside in the parking lot. Praise DSO.
  8. I ran into something similar when juggling trips and side projects, and what helped me stay grounded was making a solid base in a calm spot. Last year I combined a short visit to a 4 star accommodation Perth had near the beach—super chill vibe, good Wi-Fi, and quiet—before heading to Central America. Gave me a good mental reset and space to get organized.
  9. I went to see an Allman Tribute called blue sky dogs in an old playhouse in brown county. I really like that area and the band was really decent. Can’t find much out about them. This may be a relatively new project even tho they’re abunch of older dudes.

  13. lol there is a table section where you can buy a table for 4 😂. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tables. Black tie is not required in summer.
  14. Seems like the summer tour is being announced one show at a time, lol. This venue looks like an amazing place to see a show
  15. btw cool band name. who came up with that?
  16. The man was a Real Genius on screen and cool as Ice. Bonus points for anyone who knows who Nick Rivers is...
  17. That was uncanny. There are times in the movie when if you didn’t know it was a portrayal you’d swear it was Jim. Gary Busey as Buddy Holly is a close second. And who will be our huckleberry now? 🙁🙁
  18. Thinking Barry Sless and Pete Sears are enjoying the gigs in their area. Hop a flight and catch the three upcoming CA shows. Three nights all in a row ~ Start in Berzerkly then Hop on over to Felton ~ ⚡🎶🛞🇱🇷 then jump on here with your "wonderous stories" 🫠
  19. Did exceptional work as Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's 1991 Doors movie.
  20. WTF scheduling the same night as Widespread Panics Fri and Sat in Indy. Jimmy Herring is one of my favorite guitarist and Panic shows are really fun parties
  21. NEW SHOW! ⚡️ We're heading back to Indiana to perform at Conner Prairie in Fishers on Friday, August 8. 22. Last Wednesday saw JGB at the Hamilton in DC. Spent the first few songs super close to Melvin on the keyboard side, watching him spin the gospel, great stuff. Moved back for space of various size and location the rest of the evening. JK in fine form, such a natural pairing with Melvin. Cats, Goin' Down the Road first set standouts. Scarlet>Reuben a bouncy fun jump to the second. Perfect midweek escape. 25/03/26 JGB, Hamilton, Washington DC Second That Emotion, Wonderful World (Cooke), Evangeline, Mississippi Moon, Quinn the Eskimo, Cats Down Under the Stars>Drums>Goin' Down the Road, Let Me Roll It. Scarlet Begonias>Reuben and Cherise, Money Honey, Swing Low Sweet Chariot, No Women No Cry, Waiting for a Miracle, Midnight Moonlight, Sisters and Brothers, I Was Made To Love Her (Jam). Praise DSO.
  23. Haven’t seen yet but been hearing very positive reports. meanwhile I caught a couple more Garcia Project shows last week and I thoroughly dig how they tend to Jerry Band…seems like they’re getting better and better…my fav JGB band out there at this point.
  24. I saw DSO play 8-12:15 at Busters in Lexington with no one there. Parking lot was an ice rink. 74 show I think. Never saw Dso play 4:15 since.
  25. Hey guys, I have seen The Garcia Project, I have even been in touch with them to try and get better venues for the area I am in. These guys are the DSO of JGB. They sound absolutely phenomenal. Many of yall know I do not know the music in terms so many of you do. My only measure of music is how it makes my body dance and the energy that runs through it. These guys are the real deal and no joke. They may not look it, but did GD every look it? Ron Jeremy Playing Drums, Daisy Duke playing rythm, so classical musicist, throwing love bombs that are still bouncing off the ocean floor. MiK would be worth someone getting to know. I am posting this cause I saw the thread.....and know what I am talking about with these guys. I would go on tour with them. Actually my next post....I may go on tour....I may run away. Sorry Mik its been a rough months. I usually can give better words. Im fading.........one more post These guys are the real deal......support them and you will be happy you did!
